North Country is a drama film inspired by true events. When Josey Aimes returns to her home state of Minnesota to escape from her abusive husband, she decides to work for the neaby iron mine. However, the huge majority of the miners are men -- most of whom do not believe women should be working in the mines. After Josey and her fellow female employees endure countless hours of harassment without redress, Josey finally quits. Shortly thereafter, she files what would become the first class-action sexual harassment lawsuit in US history. Jeremy portrays Bobby Sharp, Josey's high school boyfriend who is one of the main instigators of the harassment.
